Design of a travelling display touring five librairies across Newham

Custom House, Our House captures over two decades of community-led resistance to gentrification in Custom House, East London. Led by artist Jessie Brennan and Denise Evans-Barr from Custom House Bookshop, it brings together residents, shopkeepers, and community organisers who have lived, worked, and mobilised for a regeneration that benefits its long-standing communities. Through 12 oral history interviews and commissioned photography, intergenerational local voices share stories of housing struggles, cultural memory, collective action and belonging.
