Design of a 7 × 2 meter signage for Campus Luc Buckenmeyer at the European Institute of Journalism. Stone carving was chosen as the preferred technique to blend in with the existing concrete wall. Sketches and graphic choices were tested against the carving tools and gesture. Working closely with the specialist stone engraver Atelier de la Pierre Noble was essential to understand the technical requirements and propose a relevant design.
